CORTE MADERA, CA – September 11, 2000 – SL Corporation, a provider of software and service solutions for the development of real-time graphical user interfaces (GUIs), today announced that Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) has chosen SL Corporation’s dynamic graphics technology for integration into its newly announced Telecommunications Management Information Platform (TeMIP) V4.1. SL Corporation’s SL-GMS unified solution was selected for its proven history of delivering the most flexible real-time graphical control and monitoring interface technology. Compaq is integrating SL-GMS directly into the TeMIP MapViewer and MapEditor applications running on TeMIP clients.

“Using the SL-GMS technology, users can easily activate network management functions and operations from a single workstation,” said Rob Den Teuling, OSS Director, Compaq Computer Corporation. “By incorporating SL-GMS into the TeMIP user interface, we offer operators top-market GUI features to enable complete control over network conditions and facilitate seamless and customized end-to-end process management.”

TeMIP is a world leading advanced OSS (Operational Support System) solution for network and service management. TeMIP unifies and integrates multiple management domains, such as service, performance, fault management and workflow for a range of infrastructures – wireless, wireline and data/IP. Using SL-GMS, TeMIP maps every element on the network as part of a single, comprehensive view and allows communication operators to easily and quickly diagnose and solve real-time problems. SL-GMS also supports TeMIP’s open architecture and true integration with multiple protocols to provide Compaq’s customers an enhanced level of extendibility.

“We are excited to work closely with Compaq to provide an object-oriented dynamic GUI that simplifies complex network management processes with interactive controls and advanced customization features,” said Ted Wilson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, SL Corporation. “By supplying an added layer of flexibility with dynamic behaviors in customized icons rather than limited libraries, SL-GMS enhances TeMIP’s extendibility, scalability and value while reducing their customers’ programming time
and cost.”
