Corte Madera, CA – April 10, 2018 – SL Corporation, a leading provider of real-time data monitoring and visualization solutions, announced the release of native 64-bit versions of its SL-GMS J/Developer and SL-GMS J/Net products. The newly released SL-GMS J/Developer (J/Net) is a toolset for developing advanced dynamic GUI/HMI’s for advanced control systems. The J/Developer tool allows users to build high performance web-based (or remote access) desktop applications. The new 4.5a release supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 as well as Java 1.9 and is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions.

SL-GMS J/Developer is based on SL’s proven visualization and code generation technologies and was initially released in 1998. SL used its extensive experience in the advanced monitoring and control arena to produce the J/Developer and J/Net solutions. In 20 years, no other tool has come close to SL-GMS J/Developer’s ability for generating compact and efficient Java code. Many of the most advanced monitoring and control systems deployed globally have been developed using SL-GMS J/Developer to provide real-time views, which are visible both internally and externally.

This latest version of SL-GMS J/Developer, a new 64-bit edition product, has been released to support Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.   There is a 64 bit version of J/Developer 4.5a which runs on Java 9, and there is also a 32 bit version of J/Developer 4.5a, but this version does not run on the Java 9 JDK.   Both the 32 and 64 bit versions will run on current Redhat platforms. The new version includes over 100 new graphic objects for computer and peripheral devices, network and security devices, and mobile devices. The SL-GMS tool provides more than 3,000 industry standard Symbol Factory objects and SL-GMS dynamic graphical models for use within the SL-GMS Draw editor.

The content rich and highly interactive graphics built in J/Developer can easily be edited using SL-GMSDraw and dynamic behavior can be immediately previewed. This enables rapid prototyping which is independent from application programming. Compact and fast Java code is then generated from SL-GMSDraw editor, and deployed transparently as a desktop Java application, Java Web Start, or Remote Desktop thin-client application.
