September 3, 2014 – Corte Madera, CA – SL Corporation, a leading provider of real-time data monitoring and visualization solutions, announced today that it has released the 6.5 version of its SL-GMS C++/Developer product to fully support native 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. This new edition enables SL-GMS users, using Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS, to develop and deploy the most advanced control and monitoring systems.

SL-GMS C++/Developer has fully supported 64-bit Microsoft Visual Studio since 2011, and this latest version 6.5 adds support for 32-bit Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 as well.

SL-GMS C++/Developer, including the optional SL-GMS Custom Editor, is SL’s long-selling development tool, which enables dynamic visualization of real-time data. These products have been used by the largest developers of mission-critical systems in control centers and control rooms around the world for process control, network management, traffic control and aerospace/defense applications.

SL-GMS products have evolved for more than 30 years from UNIX to Windows and Linux as well as from C++ to ActiveX, Java and Microsoft .NET. SL’s continuing commitment to enhance and improve its SL-GMS product offerings has provided users with a unified solution that protects their GUI development investments across the decades-long product lifecycles of their advanced control system products.

The sophisticated yet easy-to-use, dynamic GUI, or HMI, required by these advanced control systems can be easily and interactively edited using SL-GMSDraw. This tool enables rapid prototyping by allowing users to immediately preview the behaviors of their dynamic GUI in development using simulated data. Additionally, the SL-GMS Custom Editor offers solution providers the ability to develop a solution-specific, easy-to-use authoring tool for its end users.

Compatibility of the graphical models with dynamic behaviors and a custom editor developed with SL-GMS in the 32-bit edition of Red Hat Enterprise Linux is maintained in this newly released 64-bit edition, allowing existing OEMs and VARs to shift smoothly into developing the latest generation control and monitoring system offerings that benefit from the speed of full 64-bit native applications.
