SL Corporation Extends the SL-GMS Line of Dynamic Visualization Solutions to Support Microsoft .NET

Corte Madera, CA —June 25, 2002—SL Corporation, a leading provider of software applications and development tools for the graphic display of real-time data, today announced that SL-GMS .NET/Developer is in early adoption phase with a release scheduled in 3rd quarter 2002. .NET/Developer is an extension to the SL-GMS line of visualization solutions specifically designed to meet the needs of Microsoft .NET application developers.

The Web Services support and enhanced development tools allow our customers to reduce the development costs necessary to provide complete integrated business solutions for Internet-enabled services,” said Rodney Morrison, SL Corporation’s Director of Product Management. “We are excited to be working with the early adopters of .NET applications by extending our product line to support the development of high-performance dynamic graphical user interfaces on this platform.”

The suite of SL-GMS Development Tools all share a common dynamic graphic editor, SL-GMSDraw, which allows developers to design or import graphic objects and animate them with dynamic behavior attached to real-time data. SL-GMS has been used in mission critical applications on the Microsoft platform since the release of Windows NT. .NET/Developer will contain SL-GMSDraw and the SL-GMS .NET Viewer Control.

The .NET Viewer Control is a .NET custom control which can be used like any other control in Visual Studio .NET to build applications that display the real-time dynamic displays generated by SL-GMSDraw. The .NET Viewer Control is fully .NET compliant and enabled with classes, methods, properties and events from within the Visual Studio .NET designer. It is also suited for use with any .NET supported language including C++, C#, or Visual Basic.

Dynamic displays built with earlier versions of SL-GMS Development Tools will be completely supported within .NET/Developer, providing an important migration path for existing SL-GMS users.
