SL Unveils New Diagram Generator in RTView Enterprise Monitor 3.5
New RTView 3.5 release auto-generates system diagrams to mirror your system components and hierarchyPress Releases, SL in the News
Corte Madera – December 7, 2016 – SL Corporation, a leading provider of application and middleware performance monitoring solutions, has announced the latest release of RTView Enterprise Monitor v3.5. Significant enhancements include
- new Diagram Generator which auto-creates application data flow diagrams
- added support for Solace VMR (virtual message router)
- new Solution Package for Microsoft SQL Server
- new HTTP REST data source for building custom adapters.
When monitoring applications with complex middleware architectures, it is often very beneficial to visualize the health of individual components within the context of the application hierarchy. Diagrams allow support teams to understand the full architecture supporting the application and understand how individual components may affect the behavior of other components.
Until now, creating those process flow diagrams has been a manual effort. The new Diagram Generator feature largely automates this process using application metadata, without having to construct them manually. The generator makes it much easier to create and maintain diagrams for applications in which the architecture is continually evolving.
Solace VMR Support
Solace, best known for their rack-mountable messaging appliances, has recently gained significant traction with their Solace Virtual Message Router. In response, SL has updated it’s Solution Package for Solace to support both the physical and virtual devices. Solace users can now monitor all their devices, both on-premise and cloud-based, for a single view of global deployments.
Microsoft SQL Server
SL adds Microsoft SQL Server to their growing portfolio of database monitors. MS SQL rounds out coverage of the most popular databases including Oracle Database, MySQL, IBM DB2 and MongoDB.
HTTP REST Data Source
The RTView HTTP REST Data Adapter allows RTView to interact with REST APIs using HTTP Requests. The adapter can be used to interact with any HTTP REST API, enabling developers to create new monitors for REST accessible data sources.
